What do you leave inside?
- Building drawings
- The day's newspaper
- Coins from this year
- The names of the builders
- Photographs and letters
- A child's drawing of the house
A document capsule cast into the cornerstone is a building's only memory. It is sealed by hand on the day the work begins — and opened only when a later generation decides to look inside.

Closing it needs no tools, so anyone at the ceremony can do it.

Stainless steel does not give way to concrete or ground moisture. Copper darkens over the years but endures. They are the only sensible materials for an object whose service life is measured in generations, not warranty years.
Every capsule is made by hand in Kangasala — one at a time, not on a production line. It is the slower way, and the only way we can stand behind the result.
Four models: three in stainless steel and one in copper. All share the same hand-tightened screw lid. Below, the models are drawn at true relative scale.
